With their extensive experience and knowledge in the field, the Wild about Australia team of Martin & Julia also work as wildlife and natural history photo-journalists. 

They are both experienced in writing, producing, editing and presenting wildlife information on television and radio, and in the print media.

The Wild about Australia team have a comprehensive library of over 5000 Australian wildlife and natural history images.

Some recent examples of their work include writing and supplying photographs for the 2005 edition of the Wet Tropics Newspaper.

More recently Martin & Julia have been engaged to write a book on wildlife of the Wet Tropics which will be available on this web site in Easter 2006.

Martin has extensive experience in writing wildlife and natural history articles and books aimed at the general public including:

• Co-authoring Lonely Planet’s ‘Watching Wildlife Australia’ book in 2001.
• Working for the Wet Tropics Management Authority as a scientific journalist.
• Writing articles with accompanying photographs for magazines such as Overlander, 4Wheeler and Wildlife Australia.
• Writing articles with accompanying photographs for newspapers such as the Cairns Post, Townsville Bulletin and Wet Tropics Newspaper.

Martin is also, award-winning wildlife photographer having won the portfolio section of the 1999 Wildlife Australia’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year. 

Julia has a trained background in photography and journalism and also takes stunning landscape and wildlife photos.
